Sophomore goalkeeper Conrad Taylor was selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II First Team on Wednesday for his standout efforts on the soccer field and in the classroom. Taylor was selected over six other nominees from the Mid-Atlantic region. He will now advance to the national ballot and have the opportunity to earn academic all-America honors.
A Kinesiology major, Taylor maintains an impressive 3.94 grade point average. Taylor's achievement continues Penn State men's soccer's tradition of academic excellence. In total, Nittany Lions have been named to academic all-region or all-America teams on 21 occasions. A year ago, as a junior, midfielder David Walters earned academic all-region and scholar all-America recognition.
