Letter to the Editor
Paternoville citizens moved in years ago

I've read a lot about Paternoville and I can see that there are a lot of myths out there, so here is a little Paternoville 101 ("Paternoville 'citizens' back for game," Nov. 1).

Paternoville did not start on Oct. 8, 2005. People have been camping out long before that. My section in particular was passed down by graduating seniors my freshman year and there is a gentleman out there who has been doing this for almost a decade. We camp out for every game, even the non-conference games. The campers do go to class. We run shifts to hold our spots and try to keep at least one member there at all times.

We do it for the team, not for the glory, not for the media, not for the hype, not for the party, but for our players that are students just like us who go out and play through pain and adversity every week to give us a win.
