This is in response to the Genocide Awareness Project, which chose to grace our campus with its presence ("Graphic photos shock some," Oct. 25).

Genocide is defined as "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group." No one is trying to exterminate the race of "baby."

I don't care whether a person is for or against abortion; to claim it as genocide is indecent, asinine and deliberately insulting to those people who suffered true atrocities.

I am extremely tired of people comparing everything under the sun to the Holocaust because to do so undercuts the inhumanity and viciousness of one of the darkest chapters in human history.

If a group has to use gross misrepresentation of fact and piggyback off of real human tragedy to make its argument, not only does its fail to make a valid point, but it turns intelligent, rational people off to the cause.
