The lead story in Wednesday's Daily Collegian was the 2,000th American combat death in the Iraq War ("U.S. death toll reaches 2,000," Oct. 26). What makes that death more important than the 456th or the 1,999th American death in Iraq? Or is it just because 2,000 is nice, round number. I'd like to see you run the same above-the-fold headline when we learn about death number 2,013.
