Letter to the Editor
Abortion, Holocaust equally comparable

In response to the arguments against the Genocide Awareness Project "Abortion, Holocaust not even comparable," Oct. 25, do not tell me that these are separate issues. "The Holocaust was different; abortion is a choice." It was the Nazis choice to kill the Jews. "Slavery was different; abortion is a constitutional right." Just a short time ago, the ownership of blacks was a constitutional right. These issues are related.

The purpose of these pictures is not to condemn; the purpose of these pictures is to make people aware of the choices that they are making.

So please, let us sweep away the rhetoric surrounding abortion and look at the facts. At 21 days, a human fetus' heart begins to beat, maybe before the mother even knows she is pregnant. By 10 weeks, the baby's hands and feet are perfectly formed with dainty fingers and toes. At 16 weeks all the bodily structures are in place and the baby only needs to grow; even fingerprints are present at this point.

The graphic pictures shown the last few days bring to light the truth. If you support abortion, please be aware that you are supporting the brutality shown in these pictures.
