Drivers don't follow campus speed limit

The 15 mph speed limit on campus needs to be more strictly enforced, particularly on North Burrowes Street near West Halls.

At any given hour during the day, students and faculty are forced to hurry across Burrowes Street to avoid speeding cars -- even speeding buses. I have only seen police cars a handful of times during the day, and they are only passing by. I never see police giving speeding tickets to anyone. If there is a system to enforce the speed limit, it needs to be better implemented.

When you see more people on bicycles getting pulled over than cars on campus, there is a problem. Bikes will hurt, but cars and buses will kill. I am waiting for the day when somebody gets hit by a speeding car and I will be anxious to see if such an incident will open the eyes of campus police.
