4 incidents of slashed tires reported

Four separate incidents of slashed or punctured tires were reported yesterday morning in the State College borough. State College Police Department Sgt. Mark Argiro said there is a "high likelihood" that the four incidents are related, but there are no suspects.

Two vehicles at 244 S. Buckhout St. each had one tire slashed overnight, police said. The value of the damage was not available. A 1993 Ford Aspire had one tire punctured between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. at 924 W. Fairmont Ave. The value of the damage was not available. Police said two tires were punctured on a Suzuki van at 918 W. Fairmont Ave. between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The value of the damage is estimated at $200. A 2002 Chevrolet Malibu and a 1983 Ford Bronco each had one tire slashed at 335 S. Buckhout St. The total value of the damage is estimated at $300.
