I have been a loyal Michigan fan for over 35 years and I have been to dozens of games at the "Big House," and dealt with fans of all stripes. After Saturday's thriller between Michigan and Penn State, I feel obliged to compliment the Penn State fans who demonstrated class both before and after the game.

I was impressed by both the size and enthusiasm demonstrated by the Penn State contingent as well as by the stylings of the Penn State Blue Band. I hope that the city of Ann Arbor, and the Michigan fans acquitted themselves similarly in our hospitality and grace for you, our guests. The Penn State community certainly personifies the best of Big Ten football: tradition, loyalty, spirit, honor. I look forward to the almost annual clash of these two storied programs, win, lose or draw. You guys are a class act.
