I would just like to beat all the bigots to the punch and write a letter chastising The Daily Collegian for covering a demonstration of free speech, free life and the pursuit of happiness on campus ("Students declare pride in sexuality," Oct. 12).
The Collegian editors ought to be ashamed of themselves, just like LGBT people ought to be ashamed of themselves. You should be ashamed for covering these events on campus in a college newspaper.
There were probably dozens of other events going on that could have been covered instead of paying attention to the National Coming Out Day rally.
We should be ashamed for loving who we want and being who we are.
Keep up the "terrible" work.
