Alpacas are a favorite among the children on Allen Street during the sixth annual Fall Festival Downtown. These alpacas were bred by Mountain Edge Alpacas. The alpaca, which originates in Bolivia, Chile and Peru, is more docile than its more well-known cousin, the llama. A female alpaca, such as these, costs $25,000 because of the high demand.
