Cheers offensive to visiting OSU faithful
I am a graduate of Penn State and I attended the football game Saturday night with my husband who is an Ohio State alumnus. In the last eight years we have attended the game at both universities. After walking through campus on Saturday and witnessing numerous verbal attacks on my husband, I have to admit I was embarrassed. I love Penn State and have always considered our fans to be top notch in the college sports arena. In particular, the use of profanity directly aimed at individuals is unacceptable. The chants we heard, which were also present at the game, were profane, offensive and intolerable. I'm reminded of the saying, "Profanity is the product of an unsophisticated mind." I hardly think that this is the image we want to project to visiting fans. Stacy Sater
