So many students in yesterday's Collegian stood up and took a stand against underage drinking ("Underage drinking not essential for students," Oct. 10). To them I say, lighten up.

Of course alcohol isn't required to have fun, but it can definitely facilitate an enjoyable evening. And yes, it can do so even if you're not yet 21. So go out, drink, party, get laid, talk to a stranger, do something original. At the very least, do something more than complain to the Collegian about how your friends go out and have fun without you.
