The No. 2 Penn State ACHA Division I Icers begin their season at 9 p.m. tonight against No. 14 Mercyhurst at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.
The Icers have made eight consecutive national championship appearances and look to continue that trend this season with a schedule that Penn State coach Joe Battista labeled as "one of the toughest we've ever had."
Penn State will travel to Robert Morris (Pa.) tomorrow to play the Colonials at 7:30 p.m.
The Robert Morris game marks Penn State's toughest challenge of the year, as the club will be squaring off against an NCAA Division I squad.
The Icers will finish their three-game weekend on Sunday when they play No. 15 Washington & Jefferson on the road.
