While I have no strong feelings about the Homecoming parade, I thought it was funny that the Collegian editorial yesterday criticized the university and the Homecoming Committee for allowing more alumni groups to participate in parade ("Committee's new rules won't shorten length of Homecoming parade," Sept. 29).
As the name of the parade states, it is for the alumni.
Homecoming is an annual event at schools, colleges, and universities for visiting graduates.
If you wanted to make the parade more about the students I'd change the name of the parade to something other than Homecoming.
