A 20-year-old Penn State student was assaulted and robbed at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday at the intersection of College Avenue and McAllister Street, the State College Police Department said.
Police said the student was walking on College Avenue and when he turned onto McAllister Street, two white men with short hair and medium builds came up behind him and pushed him down. The student was hit on the top of his head and was cut. The men took $30 from his wallet while he was on the ground. The victim said he thinks the men were wearing T-shirts and dark pants, possibly blue jeans, according to police.
His girlfriend, a State College resident, called the police as she drove him to Mount Nittany Medical Center.
The victim told police he does not want the incident pursued.
State College Police Sgt. Mark Argiro said the victim was being evasive with his answers, and they have no suspects at this time.
