The Tour may be over, but the grand finale of Dave Attell's nationwide excursions has yet to debut new laughs.
Dave Attell's Insomniac Tour Presents Sean Rouse, Greg Giraldo and Dane Cook will premiere at 9:00 p.m. Sunday on Comedy Central.
After the 35 city Insomniac Tour, Attell brings his pals along to Los Vegas for Comedy Central's first two hour, full-length comedy film.
The unique style of Attell, Rouse, Giraldo and Cook blend to give the film a bit of everything.
When refraining from his more vulgar side, Attell hits all the right buttons, introducing the line up of comedians to the audience. He reappears several times throughout the film, performing shorter sequences in between the other acts.
Rouse, handles the weird side of the bunch, performing on rather morbid issues such as embalming, molestation, and the reoccurring theme of hell.
Nonetheless, the off topics, awkward pauses, monotone voice, and blank expression relieve unexpected laugher.
Rouse is followed by Giraldo, the most versatile of the bunch who covers the most ground. His interpretation of the MTV-created aura of "bitches" and assessment of modern female fashion is priceless.
Cook is last in the line up, feeding off of the rather inebriated audience.
He focuses on a night of two much drinking and the aftermath of a toilet hugger. His animated vomiting forces him into a half handstand on stage.
Cook's energy is what it took to keep the audience from passing out before they make it back to the hotel.
