TV Review
'Desperate Housewives'

If you missed Desperate Housewives' season opener, shame on you.

Sunday night remained the juiciest night of the week for ABC.

The second season of the mega-hit, adultery-filled show treated viewers to 60 minutes of recaps from last season and enough information to leave any fan satisfied.

Bree Van De Kamp (Marcia Cross) has just lost her husband, Rex, to heart failure. Bree manages to be in control, but not without a fight between her and Rex's mother.

Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), on the other hand, was dealing with the shooting incident involving her, Mike Delfino (James Denton) and Zach Young (Cody Kasch).

Zack, who was holding Susan up at gunpoint, was awaiting Mike's return so he could kill him. Susan, miffed by why Mike refuses to press charges finds out that Zack is actually Mike's son.

In a not-so-surprising move, Susan refuses to move in with Mike due to this revelation.

On the other side of the street Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria) is still having problems with her gardener (Jesse Metcalfe) and is actually trying to reconcile with her jailed husband so they can have a life with their baby.

Gabrielle convinces her husband the baby is his with a fake paternity test.

All while this was going on, Lynette Scavo, played by the recent Emmy winner Felicity Huffman, was giving her all to head back to work, as her husband became a stay-at-home dad.

The only question that remains unanswered is about the new neighbors to Wisteria Lane.

For a season opener, it left me desperately wanting more.
