Columnist needs love experience for story
In response to Scott Dimmich's column, "Realistic expectations key to college relationships," Sept. 27 and his view on college relationships, maybe if you actually have experienced any kind of romantic relationship, your opinion would be different. I'm not trying to criticize you. I just don't think you should criticize students who decide to get involved in relationships. As someone who has been in a relationship for quite some time, I think I can credibly say that I'm experiencing the best years of my life. I've gotten involved, met many new people, and at the same time am involved in a healthy relationship during college with a boyfriend who still has money in his bank account. Your portrayal Penn State Fabio and Scarlet is far from reality. Not all couples want to rush to get married. My friends and I are mature enough to know what marriage entails and saying that all couples, after having a few drinks and sex, then want to go to the altar is like saying that after dissecting a frog in bio lab, you want to go perform brain surgery.
