Penn State student Shawn Lauer waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday. A pretrial conference was scheduled for Nov. 15. Lauer, 20, was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and a liquor law violation after he allegedly struggled with Penn State University Police attempting to cite him for underage drinking at about 3 a.m. Sept. 12 near Geary Hall, university police said.
