Anyone who lamented the fact that they missed all or part of the critically acclaimed ABC series Lost can now get their fill, as season one of the show has hit shelves on DVD.
Lost, which focuses on a commercial plane crash and the handful of survivors who are stranded on an island, is a nail-biter from the very beginning.
Matthew Fox (who some may remember as Charlie from the '90s series Party of Five) plays Dr. Jack Sheppard, a man who reluctantly becomes the unofficial leader of the survivors.
Sheppard must come to grips with his own personal demons when the survivors realize the island is not what it seemed to be when they first arrived.
The supporting cast is great as well; especially intriguing is Dominic Monaghan, who most may know as the wisecracking friend of Frodo from the Lord of the Rings films.
His work on the show as a drug-addicted musician is very inspiring and left me with a greater respect for the range of Monaghan's acting.
When a show receives 12 Emmy nominations and takes home the best new drama award, people usually take notice.
Lost features plot twists that will shock even the most discerning viewer and will leave the audience hopelessly addicted to one of the smartest and most original shows on primetime television.
While the new season started this week, showing every Wednesday at 9 p.m., make sure you get caught up on all the drama you may have missed, and check out season one of Lost on DVD.
