To go along with Kerri Cornejo's letter, ("Women's clothes not cause of comments," Sept. 15) about degrading comments from men, I just want every guy out there to think for a minute about their mom or sister.

Say they are walking downtown, and some group of men decides to act cool and call them sluts.

First, you would obviously be infuriated, but what if the person saying those things is really you, and instead of your sister the girl is just a girl. She is the daughter, sister, and girlfriend of someone.

Have a little respect and realize that when you disrespect women you are in fact disrespecting your mother, your sister, and most ironically yourself.

Man or woman, just show a little respect to those around you and try to be civil.
