In response to Alice Teeple's letter ("Movie protesters not following God's word," Sept. 14, how can she call people who are standing up for what they believe in "self-righteous cowards?"
How can anyone have the audacity to go out there and speak to someone like they know better than anyone else what being a real Christian is? I'm curious to know what is defined as a useless issue. I'm sure that at one point Christians fighting for religious freedom was thought of as a worthless issue.
Honestly, I think that instead of "wasting time" writing to The Daily Collegian to complain about the apparently unchristian acts of these protesters, Teeple should volunteer in New Orleans since she's so adamant about helping. I think she should also take a few minutes to take a look at what Jesus says according to Mark 12:31: "Love your neighbor as yourself." Doesn't that mean that a Christian shouldn't call his neighbor a coward or a fake Christian?
I don't know, maybe I'm not a real Christian either.
