My heart goes out to the freshmen who saw their first Penn State football game at Beaver Stadium this past Saturday.

The home opener used to be exciting, but as I left the game I walked with hundreds of other people from which no sounds were coming at all.

There was no enthusiasm, just that awful recognition that we have another pathetic football season to endure.
