For the majority of Penn State students from outside Centre County, the Grange Fair is an unknown treasure.

Construction of the new Schlow Centre Region Library, 211 S. Allen St., is nearing completion on time for its projected Oct. 3 opening.

Remnants of Hurricane Katrina, the biggest storm to pass through the Gulf region in recent memory, are moving toward Pennsylvania, but it is unlikely the Nittany Lions' first contest of the year will be affected by the weather.

Andrew Gross is a typical college freshman, excited to attend classes relevant to his interests and happily adjusting to sharing a dorm room with a fellow student.

Moving in may be over, but stocking the refrigerator is still on most students' to-do lists.

Development from year to year is crucial to success in cross country, and this year the Penn State men's team has a chance to develop into something very special.
