Today's University Park forecast
Rain, wind, and a few thunderstorms will be the story for the first day
of class. The remnants of Hurricane Katrina will move through the
Eastern Ohio Valley during the day today. There will be a possibility of
torrential downpours and gusty winds. Showers and occasional downpours
will remain likely through tomorrow afternoon. Flooding is a possible
concern as we may receive copious amount of rainfall in short periods of
time. Skies will clear rapidly as Katrina races northeastward. Expect
much more pleasant conditions for Thursday and Friday with high
temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
