I would like to comment on the new law passed by Gov. Ed Rendell allowing alcohol sales on Sundays. Every Centre County leader had something to say about how bad it is to have alcohol available to purchase on Sundays, and about how bad a problem binge drinking is.

News flash: If a person really wants alcohol on Sunday (binge drinkers) then they probably purchased it by Saturday anyway.

Sen. Jake Corman, R-Bellefonte, even said, "Alcohol abuse is a big enough issue already, because of the [students in the] university." I am tired of students being talked about negatively.

I am tired of State College citing Penn State students as the cause of their problems.

If Penn State weren't here, you wouldn't be either.

I would love this place if those few State College residents didn't feel the need to shout at the wind.

In the end, can't State College just grow up with the times of the United States?
