Cloudy with rain showers
Today's University Park forecast
A much more pleasant weather pattern is in store for us this weekend, but first we must get through a few more opportunities for rain and some warmer temperatures today and tomorrow. The first shot at precipitation over central Pennsylvania will come from a convective system that may hold together as it approaches from the Midwestern states. The second chance will be on Friday night, as a weak front passes through the state. Temperatures will cool slightly behind this front, but the most noticeable change will be in the drier air. Dewpoints are forecast to drop into the 50s and lower to mid 60s after the front moves out, leading to much more comfortable conditions across the commonwealth.
