Coroner rules woman's death accident
Residents face hearing for possession

In a 39-11 vote, the state Senate passed a bill Monday that allows beer distributors to sell alcohol seven days a week, making distributors the final alcohol-selling establishment to receive their Sunday licenses.

Three months after Penn State student Christopher Raspanti, 21, died in an off-campus house fire, toxicology results have determined that his blood alcohol content (BAC) was three times the legal limit.

Although current State College zoning ordinances forbid student centers, a judge's recent ruling will permit the construction of a Catholic student center on the 100 block of East Park Avenue, ending a three-year-long process.


After about an hour-long presentation at its meeting last night, the State College Borough Council discussed the possibility of bringing another liquor license into the downtown area.
