Today's University Park forecast
New and returning students will hear rumbles of thunder, greeting them
back to Happy Valley. As the week progresses, temperatures will
gradually decrease to seasonable ranges and the threat of showers and
thunderstorms will persist. For the rest of the state, the chance for
thunderstorms is high, especially in the western portion. Rain threatens
the eastern half of Pennsylvania, where locally heavy downpours may
occur. Scattered showers will plague the state until Friday evening. The
skies will clear and temperatures will become seasonable just in time
for the holiday weekend.
