About a year ago, I was called a WOP. To this young man providing this remark, I asked if he knew what it meant.

He did not know, so I just dismissed him as a random idiot.

Had he known what the letters represented, I would have admired his racial knowledge or his dedication to researching his cause. Hatred exists, and I just shrug it off; or if they are willing enough to understand the meaning of their insults, they are not likely to change their ways.
