Today's University Park forecast
Our dry weather will quickly come to a close as the month strives to
prove its famed saying: “April showers bring May flowers”. Thanks to a
powerful, fall-like system, rain will overspread our region becoming
steady overnight. As dry air works into the system on Saturday, the rain
should slacken off during the day while skies will continue to be
cloudy. Cold air aloft will drop temperatures to near freezing Saturday
night and it is within the realm of possibility to see some snow showers
toward sunrise. The risk of showers and a stray thunderstorm is possible
on Sunday with cool, dreary weather dragging out through Wednesday.
