Penn State University Police said they might have video surveillance of a man stealing a backpack from the Willard Building at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Review of video surveillance shows a man leaving with a backpack at about the same time police received a report of a theft of a backpack that contained a Dell Inspiron 2650 laptop valued at $1,600 and a USB drive valued at $45, Police Supervisor Dwight Smith said.

University Police said images would be posted on its Web site next week. Individuals can also e-mail police at police@psu.edu or call 814-863-1111 to request to view the images.
