Who: Rusted Root

Claim to Fame: Rusted Root busted out of Pittsburgh in a big way in 1994 with its breakthrough album, When I Woke. The band jammed its way to success with hits such as "Send Me on My Way" and "Ecstasy."
Did you know: Rusted Root headlined the very first rock concert to take place at the Bryce Jordan Center on January 18, 1996. The Goo Goo Dolls served as the opening act. The band has made several State College appearances over the years, including solo gigs by singer/vocalist Michael Glabicki and vocalist Jenn Wertz at Crowbar, 420 E. College Ave.
Who: Suburban Legends
From: Orange, Calif.
Description: ska/punk
Claim to fame: Suburban Legends has shared the stage with Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Fishbone and many more. The band has acquired quite an underground following, despite being a completely independent band.
Did you know: Suburban Legends were asked to play Movin' On after a local band had to cancel last year. Movin' On organizers were so impressed with the band's local performance opening for Reel Big Fish at Crowbar that they spoke with members of the band after the show and walked them up to the HUB lawn to show them where the show would take place only a few days later. The band canceled another appearance to play Movin' On and its only payment was the meat tray provided to the side stage bands.
Who: Future Leaders of the World
From: Buffalo, N.Y.
Description: Melodic hard rock
Claim to fame: Future Leaders of the World has toured with Chevelle and Helmet.
The band's current single, "Let Me Out," from its debut album, LVL IV, has been earning the band some significant radio airplay recently.
Did you know: The band was signed to Epic Records after a chain of events that began when singer Phil Taylor dodged past security and went backstage at a Puddle of Mudd show and gave his demo to the band's future manager.
Who: Head Automatica
From: New York
Description: Punk inspired electronic dance pop/rock
Claim to fame: Head Automatica singer Daryl Palumbo also fronts the hardcore band Glassjaw. Palumbo's off time from that band has allowed him to spend more time touring with his self-proclaimed "electronic cock-rock band," Head Automatica.
Did you know: The band's debut album, Decadence, was recorded mostly by Palumbo himself and Dan "The Automater" Nakamura of Gorillaz and Handsome Boy Modeling School fame, although Palumbo later assembled a band in order to reproduce the tracks in a live situation.
Who: Fall Out Boy
From: Chicago, Ill.
Description: Energetic punk inspired rock
Claim to fame: Fall Out Boy have scored a couple of hits on modern rock radio with "Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy" and "Saturday" from the album Take This To Your Grave.
The band has garnered a following by touring non-stop with just about every emo/punk band in the past couple of years, including some of the biggest during a stint on last year's Vans Warped Tour.
Did you know: Fall Out Boy played at a dog kennel in Duncansville a few years ago. Take This To Your Grave was released on Fueled By Ramen Records, which is the imprint of Less Than Jake drummer Vinnie Balzano.
Who: David McMillan
From: Columbus, Ind.
Description: solo singer/songwriter
Claim to fame: McMillan has shared the stage with performers such as Virgina Coalition and Matt Nathanson.
McMillan is promoting his E.P. Between Here and Home, which is to serve as a preview of his upcoming full-length album.
Did you know: McMillan recorded his first full-length album around the same time that he turned 18, and he is now only a couple of weeks shy of turning 21.
