Police Log - Monday, April 18, 2005

Assault: A 21-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown number of men at about 2 a.m. Friday on the 300 block of South Garner Street, the State College Police Department said. The victim was punched three to six times and had a swollen eye and lip, police said. Alcohol is considered a factor in the assault, but police do not have any suspects yet.

Theft: A Verizon cell phone was stolen between 2 and 5 a.m. on Saturday near West Halls, Penn State University Police said. The phone is valued at $350.

Theft: A Dell laptop, a digital camera and PlayStation 2 were stolen between 11 p.m. on April 15 and 12:15 a.m. on April 16 from Geary Hall, Penn State police said. The total value is $1,600, police said.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
