For the second time this season junior midfielder Greg Gurenlian has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in a vote by league officials recently.
Last Saturday, Gurenlian collected 13 ground balls, won 21-of-32 faceoffs and tallied one assist in the 19-13 Penn State victory against Hobart.
He picked up 11 ground balls, went 16-of-21 in the faceoff circle and finished with one assist against the Mount.
Gurenlian currently leads the ECAC with 75 ground balls for an 8.33 ground balls per game average. He is also third in the conference with a 64.8 faceoff percentage.
