The culmination of Penn State spring football drills, the annual Blue-White Game, is the featured event for Blue-White Weekend, April 22-24.
The game is at 2 p.m. April 23 in Beaver Stadium and will be broadcast throughout Pennsylvania and the nation on radio and TV as well as on the official Penn State athletics Web site, GoPSUsports.com.
As in previous years, there will be no admission or parking fee for the Blue-White Game. Penn State Sports Network affiliates across the Commonwealth will carry the game, with Steve Jones and coach Joe Paterno describing the action. The broadcast also can be heard on GoPSUsports.com.
The television broadcast will be produced by Sports Jam Network and will begin with a pre-game show at 1:30 p.m. The game will be televised live by WPSX-TV (Ch. 3), WLYH-TV and CN8 (Comcast cable).
Stadium gates A and B will open for fans at noon and the autograph session with the players will run from 12:30-1:15 p.m. Halftime will feature the introduction of the 1994 Big Ten championship team, the announcement of the annual spring football awards as well as recipients of the Student Book Store's "Player of the Game" from last season.
Stadium parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Some lots may not be available due to construction or surface conditions. The north end (lower and deck) of Beaver Stadium will be closed for the Blue-White Game due to on-going work on the seating areas.
