Letter to the Editor
Sexual superiority belief also a turnoff

In response to "Making them Cringe," April 11: It is somewhat ironic that the article is directly below the article titled "Trying To Be Tough? Cocky Girls More of a Turnoff." Another turnoff characteristic of these "cocky" women that Mr. Mueller missed was their universal belief in their own gender's innate sexual prowess. Though women are doing the majority of the bad-mouthing (so-to-speak) when it comes to partner's kissing skills, this does not mean they are all bedroom connoisseurs. Despite what some women think, they are not all cast members of Sex and the City. This type of article encourages the stereotype that men are superficial dogs that will have sex with any woman who is pretty, and will have no opinion on anything except her appearance. This stereotype is bad for both men and women.
