The State College Police Department and the Alpha Fire Co. are investigating a suspicious fire that was set on the 800 block of Boalsburg Road at about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday.

The brush fire is being investigated as a possible arson because two aerosol cans were found near the area, police said.

Also, police said the burn pattern indicates that it was an intentional fire. A damage estimate was not available, police said.
