The State College Police Department has received two reports of suspicious soliciting by a female, according to a press release.

In one incident, the woman asked a resident for money because she ran out of gas and needed to pick up her child from daycare.

During the second incident, she said she needed gas money to go to Pittsburgh and see her brother who had been shot, according to the press release. The individual is described as a black female, about 5 feet 4 inches tall with short dark hair. Information was not available regarding where these incidents took place. Anyone with a similar experience is asked to call the State College Police Department at 234-7150.
