In response to Mr. Uhrin's letter to the editor ("Basketball, football coaches must resign," March 31), it is a sad day when you are embarrassed of an alma mater such as Penn State solely based on a couple of losing seasons.

Penn State stands for so much more than just athletics; it is a leading institution in education, arts and a great all-around college atmosphere.

I would like any of your co-workers to tell you that their alma mater draws the attention and crowd that Penn State draws every home football weekend.
