A brief comment on the Terri Schiavo ordeal. I have seen pictures of protesters with a full-sized crucified Jesus Christ bearing a sign: "Hitler starved Jesus."

There was also a report of a threat made against Michael Schiavo's sister.

A stranger approached and told her that if Terri died, he would kill her as well as her family. What makes these protesters so hateful? Why do these controversies bring out the best and always the worst in people? Perhaps it's human nature? A word to the protesters: If you want things to change, use compassion, not hatred and fear.
