I was very upset to see the endorsement of "AA" as your pick for USG president and vice president. I call them "AA" due to the shirts that their campaign has been wearing.

The shirts on the front say "Join AA, 12 steps to ..." Anyone who has been affected by alcoholism at any point in their life should be furious that the Collegian would support actions such as these.

It is an utter shame that the shirts are allowed by election code, none the less being rewarded by the "student voice." Alcoholism should be taken as a serious disease and not used to further ones own motives.

Please do not perpetuate the long-running belittlement of this serious disease that has dire consequences on many people's lives.
