Two sewing machines worth about $10,000 were stolen early yesterday morning from Jo-Ann Fabrics, 505 Benner Pike, State College Police Sgt. Mark Argiro said.
Police responded to a reported burglary at 1:04 a.m. yesterday and found the store's rear door open.
Argiro said investigators suspect the person hid in the store until after closing and took the sewing machines before exiting the store.
The theft may be linked to the theft of a sewing machine and embroidery unit from the same store March 3, Argiro said. Those items were valued at about $6,500.
There are no suspects in either case, Argiro said.
