Liberal rhetoric won't help Bush's policies
My letter is in response to Lane Weaver's column ("Some quick fixes for President Bush's second term," March 22). After reading Mr. Weaver's article, I came to a disappointing realization: I will never get those three minutes back! What began as a seemingly interesting article quickly turned into classic liberal rhetoric. Whether it's Barbara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry or Lane Weaver, Democrats never have a viable solution for any of the Bush administration policies they disagree with. If you're going to dissect and criticize the policies proposed by our president, at least volunteer a more plausible solution. Until then, the next four years will be plagued by more idiotic verbiage like Mr. Weaver's. Now for some good news ... I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance. Paul Varano
