Diversity committe to hold rally tonight
News in Brief

The Commission on Racial/Ethnic Diversity (CORED) will hold a rally tonight asking for a visual object on campus to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.'s visit to Penn State on Jan. 21, 1965. The rally will be held at 5:15 in 19 Paul Robeson Cultural Center.

Mahmoud Ablan, CORED's student issues management team co-chair, said CORED feels the cancellation of classes on Martin Luther King Day in 2006 is not enough to commemorate King and CORED is in favor of creating a statue or sitting area.
