Undefeated '94 team to appear at Blue-White

One of the outstanding teams in Penn State's football history will be honored at the Blue-White game on Saturday, April 23.

In their second season of Big Ten competition, Joe Paterno and the 1994 Nittany Lions became the first team in Big Ten history to post a 12-0 record. Penn State won the Big Ten championship and defeated Oregon in the 1995 Rose Bowl, but finished No. 2 in the final polls to Nebraska. The Lions were ranked No. 1 in the final New York Times and Jeff Sagarin (USA Today) computer rankings.

More than 30 members of the '94 team have thus far indicated they will return for the 10-year reunion on Blue-White weekend. There will be some team functions on Friday and the squad members will be introduced at the Blue-White game, which will kick off at 2:00 p.m. in Beaver Stadium. The fan autograph/photograph session with the current players will begin at 12:30 p.m.

More details about new activities for the Blue-White game will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Among the members of the '94 squad expected to attend are: first team All-Americans Kerry Collins and Bobby Engram, All-Pro guard Marco Rivera, Mike Archie, Eric Clair, Keith Conlin, Brett Conway, Bucky Greeley, Todd Kulka, Mike McQueary, Jim Nelson, Tony Pittman, Stephen Pitts, Wally Richardson, Mark Tate and Jon Witman.
