Summary charges were filed yesterday against two Penn State football players who allegedly shot arrows into a wall at their apartment building.
Penn State University Police filed citations for criminal mischief yesterday against Scott Paxson and Tyler Reed, both of the 600 block of East Pollock Road, Penn State University Police said.
According to police, Paxson and Reed allegedly shot a compound bow into the wall of Nittany Apartments Building 33 sometime between 9:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29.
No one was injured in the incident, but damage is estimated at about $700 and the two will be ordered to pay restitution, Penn State University Police Officer Brian Bittner said. Summary citations are the lowest level of offense, Bittner said.
Paxson, a senior defensive lineman for the Penn State football team, started all 11 games last season and recorded 33 tackles, 8.5 for losses.
Reed, a senior offensive guard for the Nittany Lions, started nine games for Penn State last season.
Neither could be reached for comment last night.
