A memorial service will be held this afternoon for four Penn State students who died in car accidents over spring break.
The ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the worship hall of the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center.
Djung Tchoi (graduate-communications), Hyeonhwa Lee (graduate-educational theory and policy) and Joo Ook Kim (graduate-business administration) died in an accident along I-80 on Saturday, March 5.
Chen-Ying Chien (freshman-business administration) died in a car accident in Florida on Monday, March 7.
The non-denominational service will remember all four students with reflections from friends and advisers. The service is open to the public.
A brown 1996 Ford Aerostar van was reported stolen from a barn on the 200 block of Mitchell Farm Lane Sunday afternoon, State College Police said. The keys were inside the unlocked car, and the owner reported that it was stolen sometime between 4:40 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center, police said.
Police have no suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150.
