While some students graduating at the end of this semester worry about finding a job, keeping up their grades or entering the real world, the biggest uncertainty in Keith Kowal's near future is whether or not the Penn State men's volleyball team will still be playing May 7 -- the day of the NCAA Championship match.

Penn State's Tanisha Wright added to her growing list of accolades when she was named a first-team All-American by the United States Basketball Writers Association.

While America has recently lost one of its most controversial and influential writers, Hunter S. Thompson's legend and works will undoubtedly live on forever.

You know that "emo" look the cool little kiddies love?

Like Farmer Ted, Anthony Michael Hall's character in Sixteen Candles, I like to think that fresh breath is a priority in my life.

It's that time of year when Mother Nature can't quite decide if it's spring or winter, when days may seem warm and sunny but nighttime temperatures fall below freezing making you long for the mild weather of June.

Penn State Opera Theatre promises to entertain the young and young at heart with the premiere of The Prairie Dog that met the President, a children's production that appeals to all ages, Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in Eisenhower Auditorium.

Tired of the same old routine?

Jonathan Kroberger hems and haws then rests his chin on his hand like that statue of some thinking man, and attempts to explain his character.

We grabbed a bite at Dee's, 234 E. College Ave., a cute little nook that's a great meeting place for people on campus or downtown.

Thanks to a certain overused catchphrase from that blonde lil' bugger Paris Hilton, pretty much anything can be deemed "hot" these days.

Although the long half-moon-shaped room appears the same, every night a different menu conceived by the students of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management 430 (Advanced Food Production and Service Management) creates an entirely new restaurant at Café Laura, 101 Mateer Building.

This weekend, two first-year graduate degree candidates for directing will show off their directing skills. The plays run the gamut of emotions, ranging from fear to grief and hopelessness, but each maintains humor that keeps the audience involved. While the plays focus on two totally different time periods, the shows both center on the humanity that exists during times of trouble and strife.

Who doesn't think of Taiwanese acrobats on St. Patrick's Day? Sure they might not be Irish, but isn't everyone today?

I freakin' love shoes. Can't ever get enough. Straight up, I have an obsession.

Though only 14 voices, the room suddenly fills with the sound of their song.

Allen Street Grill, 100 W. College Ave., will feature Bill Filer and Magic Hat beer. Specials include $1 Miller Lite drafts and happy hour from 10 p.m. to midnight with half-priced well liquor (231-4745).
