PSU should not back Condom Co-op sales
I am disappointed that the Penn State administration continues to allow on-campus condom sales ("Condom Co-op sales rise," March 2). I understand that it is an individual's choice whether or not to engage in sexual activity, and I respect that. People who wish to engage in intercourse can easily get condoms at off-campus stores. But by having condom sales on campus, Penn State takes an active role in promoting sexual promiscuity. The university uses condom sales, posters, fliers and events such as "The Sex Faire" to tell students it's a terrific idea to sleep around. In fact, the university has created such a lust-filled atmosphere that if you choose not to sleep around, you are made to believe that you are an outcast. If you dare tell people that you believe in chastity, you will have condoms literally thrown at you. The last time I checked, Penn State is listed as an institute of higher education and not a whorehouse. The university is run by spineless cowards who refuse to address this issue because it is too controversial. I sincerely resent having sexual propaganda shoved down my throat by the university.
